Place of Worship, Perth
As a company with a wide range of experience working on religious buildings, listed buildings and places of worship, Ashwood was responsible for the extensive refurbishment and upgrading of this old church, complete with an extension to form a new chapel and ancillary accommodation. Interior work included new fixtures and fittings, as well as floor and wall coverings. Given the popularity of the church, new car parking areas were introduced.

National Children’s Home, Hamilton
One of our complete new-build projects, the leading children’s charity NCH Scotland needed a new care centre on one level to cater for six children at any one time. The structure therefore comprised a traditional single-storey building with specialist bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living area, resulting in what is the first ever purpose-built respite care centre in South Lanarkshire.

Dunedin House, Musselburgh
Another exciting challenge for Ashwood was to construct an additional floor level to an original two-storey office building. The existing office suites also required full refurbishment – all taking place while the tenants remained operational within the ground and part of the first floor. The additional floor was formed with a steel frame surround and overcladding, allowing for a new stairwell and lift access. Strict monitoring of Health and Safety measures ensured the successful completion of the project, with no unnecessary interruption to the businesses operating in the building.
